Russia hits residential high-rises in Kharkiv with drone-missiles

Original version ·

Another grim night in Kharkiv as Russian strikes slammed directly into apartment blocks.

A double strike hammered the city's residential district in the middle of the night, sending so-called hybrid "Banderol" rocket-drones straight into high-rise apartments.

Around ten multi-storey buildings took direct or blast damage, cars went up in flames in the courtyards, and local authorities confirmed at least one dead and half a dozen wounded. First responders spent the night pulling people out of debris while fires gutted an administrative building nearby.

Targeting sleeping neighborhoods with experimental weaponry seems to remain an oddly tolerated diplomatic talking point on the international stage.

striking apartment buildings while people sleep is textbook terrorism, yet everyone acts like it is just routine background noise.
