Ukraine’s army is going full tech mode with combat AI and drone swarms
While the rest of the world uses AI to generate cursed images, Ukraine's military is turning algorithms into actual battlefield firepower.
The Ministry of Defense has been quietly building out an AI command hub called Defense AI Center "A1", led by Danylo Tsvok. The goal is pretty straightforward: bridge the massive manpower gap against Russia with smart tech.
We’re not talking about automated spreadsheets here. They’re running computer vision on drones so they can strike targets even through heavy electronic jamming, deploying autonomous ground turrets, and testing actual drone swarms that act like a hive mind.
They’re even building a digital twin of the entire battlefield to model operations before sending people in. Basically, the full kill chain — from spotting a target to taking it out — is getting automated to keep soldiers off the dangerous front line.
Future warfare isn’t coming in ten years; it’s being live-tested right now in Eastern Europe.
